Frequently Asked Questions

WHERE DO YOU WORK?

I am based at The Old Surgery, 4a Green Road, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4JP (opposite Waitrose). It is within easy reach of central Leeds and close to Chapel Allerton. There is parking nearby, just outside Asda, or in the car park behind. Alternatively you can get the 51 or 52 bus from City Square by Leeds Station or from Moor Allerton Centre.

WHEN DO YOU SEE CLIENTS?

Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Counselling self-referred clients: £45 a session
Counselling for EAPs and external organisations: £60 a session
Supervision: £50 an hour.

IS IT CONFIDENTIAL?

What you choose to talk about will be heard in confidence. I work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. However, I am bound to work within the law.

WHAT DO I DO NEXT?

You can send me an email or ring and leave a message on my mobile (see 'Contact' page). I will get back to you as soon as I can. We will arrange an initial meeting where we can talk about what you want from counselling, and you can decide whether or not it's something you want to continue with. If it is, we can agree together how many sessions we think you will need.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

This depends on the issue you are bringing to counselling and how long it takes to work through. Short term counselling typically takes 6-12 sessions. Working at greater depth will take longer. Personal factors such as how much time and money you have to commit to the process will also be taken into account.
